In 1888 Louis Regout, son of a well-known ceramics family, started the production of tiles in Maastricht.
This company later was to be known under the name of Mosa.
Nowadays, every year millions of square meters wall and floor tiles find their way to customers in and outside Europe.

Mosa tiles are high-quality products. Thanks to modern production methods and continuous quality control Mosa is able to use her own quality standards, which are much stricter than the international standards. These standards relate to matters such as hardness, wear resistance, bending strength and resistance to corrosive substances. Tiles which fail to meet any of these standards do not make it to the finish. At Mosa every single tile is checked; with X-rays and other, specially developed equipment. However, do not forget the master's eyes and ears, because Mosa also wants the colour and the sound to be all right. All tiles, some 180 million a year, thus go through the hands of specially trained craftsmen. A solid quality can therefor be guaranteed, based on the combination of modern automated production processes and dedicated, highly skilled craftsmen.

As an important partner in the project market Mosa not only continues to extend her range, but also her services. The choice for Mosa tiles is often just as much based on speed of delivery, advice and service as on the quality of the product itself. An important element in Mosa's service is its modern logistics centre at Maastricht Aachen Airport.
Within eight hours of a customer's call his order is ready for shipment at this airport.
